note, this isn't exactly what i meant.
for example, you don't want a raw transcript of all the Miata Mailing
List articles in the magazine, there's too much junk (like the one
i'm typing now :-)  the stuff needs to be edited and made into
something worth reading.  there may indeed be valuable stuff in the
newsletters, but it needs to be culled out.

people need to think about what kinds of articles they'd like to read,
and either call or write MCA to ASK THEM to do it, or else (better yet)
do the work yourself and talk to them about submitting it (maybe
you can supply pictures/drawings, if relevent, etc.).
for example, if you'd like to see an article about how to install
one of the superchargers, or do a tire test, etc., see what you can
do to help make it happen.
the point is, get involved, don't just sit around and complain.

or the customers (us)...

if you don't like the way the ship is being run, you can:
-build your own ship (possible but pretty drastic)
-get a new captain (problematic if you don't own the ship)
-ask the captain to consider new ideas (easy)
-volunteer to help the captain (easy but requires a personal commitment)

i think the last two ideas are the best place to start.
if they don't work, THEN try other stuff.
i haven't yet gotten involved, so can't speak for how easy or hard
this may be, although it's been on my mind.  i don't know how receptive
the MCA is to ideas, etc., but there's only one way to find out...
