I have used nothing but Mazda filters.  The Miata Club recommends that 
only Mazda filters be used.  It is designed specifically for our engine
and is not a 'generic' Fram-style filter that fits many different engines 
to save on production costs.  My pressure runs around 60-75lbs at idle    
after a cold start-up and at idle with a warm engine, the pressure is
around 30lbs.
