>"I milled the head .015, radiused the ports, beadblasted the >intake passages, polished the exhaust ports, changed cams to xxx lift >with xx degrees overlap, align-bored the block,... When I ran it on the >dyno, I had 165 HP at 8,000 RPM. After switching throttle bodies, this >went to 170..." You get the picture. Many readers just aren't that >mechanically sophisticated, and an endless technical discussion would >bore them to death. After reading your post, I have to agree that that is probably what is happening to our magazine, but why must everything be geared to the lowest common denominator?? Frank Potter is obviously not interested in fiction, so he skips over that kind of article. Others would not have a clue if they came across an article with the above, but those of us who are interested would be served. Put in whatever disclaimer you want. Lawyers are for telling you how you can, not why you shouldn't. Besides, if you can create or encourage interest whether it be performance mods, or doing your own maintenance, or getting together for a rally, or dreaming about becoming a race car driver, won't the advertisers stand to benefit also? Just my humble opinion. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- | _ Rick | _/~~~~\_ /|\ 92 "A" Classic Coke Red | _/~ ~\_/|\ rmcelearney@delphi.com | _/~ STONE ~~\__ 73020.3414@compuserve.com | ____/~ MOUNTAIN ~~\_ Atlanta, Georgia | -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
