Well said Will! One minor point, the Indy event is organized by the Indy
Chapter, not MCA. The local folks deserve ALL the credit for a great event
in 1992, and undoubtedly, another again this year. Not only did MCA not
organize or support Indy 92, they demanded that the Indy Chapter pay to
advertise the event in Miata Magazine last time. 

This year, MCA is paying for the sunday morning breakfast and because of
this, is claiming to be the principal sponsor. My contact in MCA tells me
however, that they are doing so with money provided by Dunlop, who gives
MCA an annual grant (one reason for all the Dunlop plugs in the magazine).
Don't get me wrong, Dunlop and other companies support car clubs to get
exposure, that is normal business procedure. No knock intended against
them; its just that MCA doesn't even use our membership money to support a
chapter's activity like Indy. What are we paying dues for?
