I remember a thread some time ago discussing manual v. electric windows and problems with manual window winders. At the time someone made the comment that one advantage of electric windows was that they appear to go wrong less often. Well, it happened. On Friday my driver's side electric window broke. Murphy's law told me that something was bound to wrong soon since my warranty ran out on April 2nd. Hoping it was something simple, I took the door panel off and took the window and the motor/slider mechanism out. At first I thought just a cable stop had been pulled off, but later discovered that the cable was all chewed up inside the motor assembly. Which one happened first I don't know. So now I'm about to phone the local dealers to see how much a new motor/cable assembly is (perhaps that extended warranty might have been a good idea). Has anyone else had problems with electric windows?? Paul Buckingham Germantown, Md Silver '91 'B'
