Craig raised the question if MCA reads our Net. I can't answer that Craig
but all the points raised by me and other Netters have been directed not
only to the MCA leadership but to Mazda of America directly. In fact,
there was a proposal to Mazda when the charter for MCA was up for renewal
that it not be given again to Tidwell and Garrett. After a meeting of several
Chapter presidents with Mazda brass, the charter was renewed (Mazda is
having enough trouble fighting for its corporate survival to worry about
the club, and aftrall, Norm has alot of friends therein). In fairness
to Tidwell/Garrett, their attention to the concerns/needs of the chapters
changed for the better since then, and there seems to be an effort to be less
defensive and more open. 

But the structural deficiencies of the club, the financial profiteering,
the marginal quality of the publication, the contradictions, etc. still
largely remain and in some areas are getting worse.
