I thought about listing cars I've owned, but the list would be too long, and really not very interesting, as-side from the '60 MGA I drove and loved for 9 years, and the '70 124 Spider ditto for 7 years (the engine wore out!) Of course, I had my obligatory first cars, a $75 1931 Chevy and a $125 1934, mechanical-braked Ford that went like hell and you learned to smile at those you used as brakes when you rear-ended them! But, "Miata Mike" Johnson's note pushed me over the edge. I just cannot believe that someone else in the world owned two Austin Marinas, simultaneously, in the same colors as I had (I assume >> Are these the Austin Marinas built by British Leyland/BMC in the UK ? >> They had the nerve to export those things ! he really means a wierd maroon rather than red)! At the time, I thought I had the Southern California market for Austin Marinas cornered. My oldest daughter and I both "totaled" the Marinas, but we got them back to the streets. They had a humongous trunk, the MGB engine, but unfortunately "Prince of Darkness" Lucas electrics. Well, enough of that, I couldn't keep quiet after the coincidence. I'll go back to reading sporadic daily digests that get by the hall-monitor, we have for a network manager. Bill Allen, the sun's shining in Seattle!
