For those of you have not researched surface preparation and waxing the
following porcedure is highly recommended. The results were obvious and worth
the effort. My black '93  had sat in the garage during this particularly long
winter without a cover.  I read through as many archives and threads as I could
stand. The concensus seemed to be Maguire. I called them, and received some
very practicle, useful advice on which products to purchase and how to use
them. 

The bottom line is start with a wash using the Deep Crystal Soft Wash Gel;
after the car is dry, go over the paint with Swirl Remover; next go over it
again with Show Car Glaze. At this point your arm is getting quite tired, but
the shine is impressive. Finally, complete the job with Deep Crystal Carnauba
Paste Wax. Wow!

I used torn up terrycloths, lots of them. Hope this helps someone.
