Has anyone else had problems with electric windows??

I have had several other cars in which the electric windows stopped 
operating.  In every case, the reason was due to contamination from wear of 
the carbon brushes.  Using a can of electronics cleaner/degreaser, I was 
able to clean out the motor and housing and they worked just fine afterward. 
 I suppose I should have replaced the brushes, but they seemingly had a fair 
amount of life left on them so I didn't.  At last check, the windows have 
still been working just fine after 4 + more years after cleaning.

The only other electric motor problem I have encountered was poor sealing on 
a 85 RX-7 power antenna which let the working parts of the motor corrode and 
fail.  That was a simple replacement.  No problems with frayed cables.
