Questions about autocross?? I am in the process of putting together a list of allowable Solo IIStock modifications to the Miata, as well as their relative costs and impacts on time. I'm going to collect info from some of our faster stock Miata drivers. This is sort of my shopping list for modifications to my car. I'll share it when it becomes complete enough to be useful. So far, though, survey says that the two highest impact changes that you can make are tires and driver's school. Local good autoXers agree that each is worth 2-4 seconds YMM(oc)V (your mileage may (of course) vary). Next on the list is the K&N air filter, then shocks. I'm going to send this to Brian "Mr. Wonderful" of the FAQ, who has the list of such questions maintained for our group. >>How about a quick survey of winning tire pressures on Yoko >>205/55-14s. >> >>Stuart Strickland >>strick@merle.acns.nwu.edu I have been running about 32psi, but most fast MiatoXers seem to use lower pressures than that, like 24's and 26's. I haven't spent a day with a tire Pyro dialing it in, and I'm going to BFG's this year, so you might want to try those lower numbers, first. kate
