OK Miateers, How about some ideas. After all the discussion regarding jacking, jack stands, blocks, ramps, etc., I put together some 2X12 boards to construct two ramps (I have more faith in solid wood than I do anything else... it's also a little easier to work with). Anyway, now I've got these ramps, that I know will not want to stay put while trying to drive up. How can I most easily make them stay put while I am trying to drive the car up? I've considered boring some 1/2 inch holes in my concrete floor and adding spikes down through the ramps to fit into the holes, but that makes their position too permanent and I don't want to pepper my garage floor. Is there any kind of rubber-like surfacing material I can put on the bottom side of the ramps to help them stick to the concrete as I load the front edge? I'm open to anything that doesn't require renovation of the garage! Help! Tom Tom.Manson@pobox.com Manson@fsd.com
