Try parallel-parking a Suburban in downtown DC! ...or that last space at the Park-and-Ride, for you ecologians. I think owners of sports cars are not all obsessed (mine has a 2-tone color scheme from dirt below the midline). Many are simply interested in the function of an automobile as a device for negotiating road conditions in an optimal fashion, and want one which accurately translates driver inputs and provides valid feedback. ObPracticality: Ever notice how folks with larger, "practical" vehicles always seem to transport large quantities of resident junk? I can't begin to count the number of times I've tried to put something in someone's trunk, only to find it filled with "resident" materials which have been in there for months on end (beach supplies in the winter, to give an example).
