Finally de-lurking after a month of enjoying this very fun mail group.

Item 1: yes.  Let's keep it a mailgroup.  Signal-to-Noise **IS** the issue.
        Plus, I prefer the ability to obtain a daily digest and download it
        to my PC from my mail.  I can't do that with a newsgroup.

Item 2: Help! My brakes chirp.  It drives me NUTS!!  If they are wet, or the
        temperature is 65 or under, no problem.  But as soon as it gets
        dry and warmer,  chirp--chirp-- every--chirp--where--I--chirp--go.
        It's not the alarm, I still have over 1/2 of my pads to go.  
        Applying brakes doesn't seem to alter the volume or pitch, it is
        either chirping or not.  The chirp does change on its own, but my 
        pedal work doesn't seem to affect it.  It always stops when I do :)
        Should I get some of that after-market brake-pad stick'em to solve
        this?  I took it to my dealer twice.  They said the brakes were fine,
        just needed adjustment, then I--chirp--drove--chirp--home--.

Item 3: Owner history.  Nothing of consequence unless you count simultaneous
        '74 Austin Marinas (one brown, one red).  Why? I don't know!

Item 4: Morning ritual.  I drive 15 miles or so along the southern bank of
        the Columbia River at 60mph (no cross-streets ), with the sun
        rising in my rear-view mirror as it silhouettes Mt. Hood.  This is 
        just a two-lane road so I don't have freeway bumper dodge'em to deal 
        with.  In front of me is the Portland Internt'l Airport with jets 
        taking off and coming right at me head-on.  
        My afternoon ritual is the same, except the planes are landing!


I have seen many compliments posted about this group and I wish to echo them.
When I first got on InterNet, I got the Newgroups figured out first, so I've
been doing that for awhile.  After this mail group, I've lost interest in
all of their noise and flames.  Miata mail group is fun, informative, 
friendly, and very useful.
