I don't recall all the details at present, but I think in involves (optimally) removing the battery and connecting to a trickle charger, putting the car on stands, putting a sock in the air intake and exhaust (to keep small animals out), and perhaps removing the plugs. Personally, I try to use it at least once every 1-2 weeks, even in the dead of winter in Buffalo -- preferally, when there's as little salt on the roads as possible. In any event, if you don't run it for maybe 10-30 minutes every 1-2 weeks, your battery will probably die. As you probably have heard, the battery seems to be the Miata's link to Lucas electronics and the electical problems of the old British sportscars.
