This is just opinion, not backed up by anything, but I'd suspect that above about 9,000 rpm, you'll start to get valve float. That makes the effective top end 9,000. However, if you look at the power curves for the engine, you'll see that your hp starts peaks at about 6,500, with torque peaking even lower.
