Well, this is a long shot, but here goes... I'm wondering if anyone has had a noise problem similar to one I am now experiencing. The noise is a squeaking sound from the chassis heard when driving over any kind of rough pavement at any speed, even at a crawl. The noise definitely has more of a rubber-to-metal than metal-to-metal sound, and I have done everything short of dip the entire vehicle in a vat of silicone lubricant in an attempt to cure the problem. The noise appears to be coming from the front of the vehicle, perhaps the passenger side (although these noises can be notoriously misleading as to their source). Unfortunately, I cannot duplicate the problem while the vehicle is stationary. So far I have lubricated (with silicone spray): all suspension bushings and joints (ALL of them) all rubber exhaust hangers all along the windshield rubber joint radiator mounting engine mounts just about everywhere else I could think of... This noise is very annoying, and it is driving me crazy... especially when I consider that a couple of grams of lubricant in exactly the right place would probably cure the problem for the life of the car... One more clue... the sound is only heard after the vehicle has reached full operating temperature. Nothing is heard first thing in the morning for the first 10 miles or so... Any ideas? Thanks in advance-- -- Seth
