Fellow fiends:

I realize that I am somewhat of an expatriot to the miata list just at the 
moment (okay, *YOU* write these grants!) but I wanted to report that old red 
'91 is not immune to hail storms.  We had one here (Detroit) yesterday with 
marble sized hail and I now have approx. 75 paint chips on the trunk alone. 
Probably twice that many on the hood.  I love the miata and I'd buy another 
(if they would just make one I could afford), but it *ain't* perfect.  The 
paint job is c-minus, imo.  Is there any sign of improvement in Mazda's 
effort with the '94s?

So, those of you in hail country: pull over under an overpass or else!
