I've watched the discussion of bras and sensitive paint go around and I had to put in my two cents. My '91 Silver Miata has a Polyglycoat sealer that a Mazda dealer in Phoenix had put on all of their cars. It is supposed to guarantee against fading and rusting. Anyhow, 3 1/2 years later, my baby has a few marks in the paint but still looks great. People still comment on how shiny and new it looks. There is a special wash I use for normal cleaning, and then every 3 months or so I apply their sealant cleaner (in lieu of wax). It really is nice. Any marks the bra left after a long journey come right off with the sealant cleaner and it even removed scratches that occurred why shipping my car to Austin (a tie-down rubbed the rear quarter panel). Also, if water stops beading up on the paint, Polyglycoat will re-seal it for $65. Now, I don't know if they are located in any other states, but I'm sure there are other places like this throughout the country. I might be worth looking into! Calvin '91 Silver Bullet P.S. I've never had problems with fading or marking from my bra and I lived in Phoenix for 3 1/2 years were it can get to be 122 degrees. I also lived through a true test when a tractor-trailer carrying gravel decided to hit a bump and dump rocks on me (Ouch!!!!)
