Hey Christina!

My understanding is that the cotton (polycotton) covers are appropriate for
drier climates, whereas the three layer, water resistant types (technolon,
Evolution 3, etc) are more appropriate for rainy areas. The former are much
smaller when rolled up, an important consideration given the small size of
the Miata trunk.
