Well, I opted for GAB Super HP's, which are the 8 position adjustable shocks 
that GAB makes. They cost $540 for 4 corners. However, I made my decision on 
the basis of autocrossing my car fairly regularly. In your position, I'd 
probably look around for a good high pressure gas shock that's about 5-10% 
stiffer than the stock units. You might be able to get a set for as little 
as $250-300, though I'm not sure, as I didn't price these items.
