     Today's quote, from a uniformed police officer driving his own personal
Festiva, who stopped dead in the middle of a neat, banked-right, Monza-style
off-ramp to walk back to me and opine:

     "I'd take it as a personal favor if you'd slow that thing down and get
the hell off my ass."

     Always willing to extend favors to public servants, I accepted his
suggestion. Especially since traffic was backing up behind us onto the
Interstate. But I couldn't help thinking: "One more great reason to love a
Miata!"
     If I'da been in my old Corvette, he'da shot me.
