Actually, I have to raise/lower the top *at least 2-3 times a day due to work, rain, parking etc. I've always used a two-sided window protector, and always latch/unlatch/zip in the recommended sequence. I use the Meguires plastic polish only once per year (just to do it, not that it really needs it). The car is driven at temperatures from 0 F to 95 F (mostly at the higher ranges, though :) ) and the window/zipper/top looks *absolutely factory new*. Really!
