I didn't have any major trouble trouble with mine, although I only had it
about a year, are you sure your's was German made? They did produce some
in the US although I don't think it was until later in the 70's. You know,
the above sounds like a lot of the older style sports cars. Think back to
the TR3's & 4's, MGA's, Fiat spiders, and others. You were out there every
saturday with your can of Girling fluid for your brakes and vacuum guage
balancing your carbs, the bumpers were useless, Lucas got his revenge for
the war of independence, they overheated in the summer and wouldn't start
in the winter. Thats the way it was. (isn't that a song title?)
There is no sense trying to compare Capri's to Miata'; They are certainly
in different classes. But now some of the younger Miateers know that there
was a precurser to the current Capri.
