Make sure the nose is waxed and that the mask is on tight. As to washing you don't want the mask to every be left on the car wet. Doing so can mark the paint, possibly for good. I left mine on overnight once after being caught in some rain. When I removed it the next day I could read Miata on the nose. A little waxing cleaned it off. As to the type that covers some of the hood they are more of a pain to put on and take off. They do provide better protection in return. I use mine only on trips. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Harvin Sauls hsauls@cybernetics.net Charlotte, NC 72441.2763@compuserve.com Carolinas Miata Club/MCA '92A Mariner Blue SCCA Solo II - C Stock ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
