If I 'adjust' the accelerator pedal height and bring it out further, I am allowing more travel distance to the floor - does the cable have a stop at a certain point? I remember a friend who had a floor mat that kept creeping up over the little rubber stop for the accelerator pedal - it would really cut back on the throttle due to the inability to travel the full distance.
