I no longer need info on plug wires. I drove my car at lunch and it was hesitating so bad it was dangerous. I pulled into Jay Marks Mazda on Southwest Freeway in Houston. They told me they couldn't work it in until Monday. I persisted. They walked out and started it in the service drive. Yup, bad plug wire. So why should I wait until Monday, I asked. Give me a set of plug wires under warranty and I'll put 'em on myself. Can't do that. Besides, only the bad one needs to be replaced. But the new ones are BLUE, I explained. So, they work the same. I tell them that since there are 4 wires and one is bad, if they give me a 25% discount on a new set of wires I'll be happy. Lots of talking in back. A call to a Mazda VP (probably at the Mazda regional parts distribution center about a mile down the road). OK, we'll sell them to you for wholesale ($44.48). I figured that's 20% off the list price ($55.60) and 27% off the price the parts department had quoted me earlier ($61.16). I put them on in the parking lot and drove away with no hesitation :) [][][] Steve Ling / 1993 Mazda Miata sling@netcom.com \ --- /\ \ / /\ Lone Star Miata Club Plano, Texas / | \~ \/ \~ Texas Region SCCA
