----------------------- Mail item text follows --------------- To: INTERNET--IBMMAIL FROM: Randy Meyer USVV7W6N@IBMMAIL.COM (404) 563-6655 SUBJECT: My '91 Red Miata is approaching the 30,000 mile mark. (I have a second car). I have had no problems with it whatsoever during that time. The only maintenance I have done is regular oil/filter changes and rotating tires. Can anyone out there give me a good list of maintenance which should be performed at the 30,000 mile mark? Please take into consideration that, although I am wise enough to have bought a Miata, I am an amatuer when it comes to automobile maintenance. Also, there is one very minor problem I am having. Most of the time, when I turn the key in the ignition there is an immediate response and the car starts. However, every once in a while I notice a slight delay where nothing happens, as if there is no electrical power. This delay is very slight, probably less than 1 second. After this slight delay the car will always start immediately as soon as it gets power. I don't think the problem is in the starter, but possibly in whatever is supplying power to the starter. Anyone have any ideas on this? Since I will most likely be taking my car in somewhere for 30,000 mile maintenance, I would like to ask them to check this out and give them some ideas of what to check. Thanks, Randy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
