I don't have my shop manual here at work, but (other than the
routine maintenance you've already done), you might want
to consider changing the differential and transmission fluids,
and coolant.  (If you're really nuts, you could also change the
brake and clutch fluids.  And wax the car.  Lots of wax.).  
Again, I'm not sure, but I think the
manual says to change the transmission and coolant at 36k or
3 years, as well as to tighten the chassis nuts and bolts.  
The battery also tends to go after about 3 years or so,
and that might have something to do with your starting problems.
