Doug Quara's observations RE: Miata Flogging, pretty much agree with mine
from Summit Pt., although Doug, you appear to be somewhat better qualified
than me judging from the sophistication of your remarks.  I can attest to
the easily overheated brakes (and LONG pedal - especially difficult to
explain quickly to your instructor as it's happening) and the ease of
heel/toe (well, you know how it really goes) downshifts.  The Miata is a fun
little toy for practicing all this - but I'm getting better brake pads
before I go to the track again.
