Get used to the sound and keep the revs up.  The engine will have more
power and respond quicker (the car isn't "lurching", you just need to
the quicker engine response).  This'll also help with the handling
when you learn to use the throttle properly.  The Miata engine was
meant to run at higher RPMs, so learn to use it.
