    Hopefully this has not been hashed thru before, but...

    Has anyone out there had the opportunity to do a head to head listening
    test of the clearwater speakers vs. anything else?  I've never had the
    chance to even hear the clearwater speakers, let alone do a comparison.
    Also, I plan on replacing the entire stereo system, so I'd be interested
    in hearing any custom stereo installation stories.  

    I'm looking at the Alpine in dash 3 cd changer; if anyone out there has
    any info on it, please send it my way.  This unit does not have any built 
    in amplification.  Is there any nook or cranny under the dash where some
    amps could be mounted?  Any other place besides to trunk?  I'd like to keep
    the pre-amp cables as short as possible, as they are very sensitive to 
    picking up noise.
