Jeanne Hobbs, Count me in.

John Nichols, There's a black metal plate under the steering wheel assembly
that's shaped like a shovel.  It's held in place by two screws and two clips. 
I've experienced a clip becoming disengaged and causing a rattle.  You might
check that out.
