I live in Takoma Park, and commute to Rockville every day on the back
roads away from the Beltway. I probably get a wave back/smile ratio of
better that 50%. Maybe it's because we're not stuck in Beltway rush hour
traffic. Either that, or maybe it's that I wave so much, they're not
smiling that they're seeing another Miata, but laughing at me for being 
crazy.
