Well, the last couple of radar detector articles in Car and Driver were won, by 
far, by the Valentine One.  The V-One was designed by the guy who originally 
designed the Escort and Passport, which were, at the time, the best by far as 
well.

It's the one I'd be using if they used radar in California!
