Joe, you found used Miatas for $6,000 in N. Calif???  -- the best I've heard
of around DC (which should be no more expensive a market, and possibly a bit
less) was $7500 a year ago, for a "plain jane" '90 w/60 - 70k, no A/C, no
nothing, except for the slipping clutch and the ding in the left rear
quarter panel.  We paid $9,000 for Kansei ('90A, A/C, 77k, ding in L. door)
in the DC area, late last fall.  I guess we should have gone to CA to shop.
 
(OTOH, the price probably went up when we had to trade a Triumph for the
Miata.)
