You can get a bunch of copper washers (assorted) at Pep Boys, etc.
for a lot less.  I've also ordered them from some of the dealers
who advertise in the MCA mag, for about $.85.

A) He loves you very much, and would not like to see you drive
aggressively and become involved in an accident;

B) Since he's very concerned about your health and general
welfare, it's his way of shifting some of the risks away from you
by letting someone else (like, maybe, him) drive the car instead; and

C) He has a good sense of humor.
