Here's one possibility; after several consecutive weeks with my top down, I'm sitting at my terminal at work, and my friend Jimmy comes in: Jimmy: Didn't you hear your alarm going off? Me (startled): No, why? Jimmy: I just set it off. Me (semi-surprised): Why? Jimmy: I was putting a towel on your seat. Me (sounding repetitive at this point): Why? Jimmy: It's raining on your car, dude. Me: Are you serious? Jimmy: Yep. I break all land speed records getting outside and find it's drizzling! In August in San Diego!! Fortunately it's very light and my top was up before any real damage was done. I chalk this one up to experience... I'll never take a chance with the top down under questionable skies again. And, finally getting around to the quoted topic, maybe all those people with their tops up are just really paranoid about rain. By the way: Me (later): Jimmy, perhaps next time you could set the interrupt priority level of similar messages a bit higher? -PSP On Wed, 31 Aug 1994 a.mccombs3@genie.geis.com wrote: > Stephen Lasky reports on his CA experiences in a rental Miata.
