--Ummm-- Am I missing something here?  When I had our British thing, I could
see the need for a cockpit cover, since the top was so difficult to get up
and down.  (But then, if it had a cover, the thing would have leaked
anyway.)  But our Miata came with a cockpit cover that is very easy to
install.  Reach back over your head, flip it forward, zip up the rear
window, latch two latches, and roll up the side windows.  Reverse the above
to stow the cover.  It's leakproof too.
