Add me to the list of interested-but-not-yet-sure-what-to-choose. I've spoken to both Corky Bell and Norman Garrett in person. Corky said look at the numbers (meaning boost pressure vs RPM). Norman said look at reliability and drivablility. Key issues to me seem to be intake temp (much lower with Bell intercooled version) and the relationship between the boost and the engine RPM. The supercharger, being directly driven, produces predictable boost. The turbo boost depends on engine RPM and on how long the turbo has had to spin up. In the wide open throttle tests provided by Bell the turbo clearly has more boost. But how will that be affected by real world throttle inputs? Will you have to "work" the turbo, especially in a autox type of environment. Food for thought.
