Fellow compulsive Miateers, Here's one. Last thing the salmon says to me back in June is something like..."get a couple of good coats of your favorite wax on really soon." I take him at his word and within two months I waxed 5 times. If two is good, five is better, right? Consumer Reports seemed to like the polymer materials like Nu Finish and Finish 2001. That's what I used and it looks darn good and beads water nicely. But...I received my free Miata mag which had the car care section (Spring 94) and the MCA recommends Meguiar products, specifically #26 yellow and #16 paste which I think are good old carnuba wax products. They also like Medallion, which I'm not sure about. So, two questions. 1) Any thoughts on switching to the Meguiars. I wouldn't mind and, believe it or not, all (including the vinyl window treatments) are available and discounted in beautiful downtown Turlock, key to the San Joaquin Valley. 2) If I switch, what are the ramifications of applying a Meguiars carnuba product on top of a polymer product? I don't want "Little Red" to come out "little pink," you know what I mean? Bob Crawford and "Little Red" Bobc@koko.csustan.edu PS I'm learning a lot from this list. Someday I may be actually able to help answer questions rather than just ask them. TGIF and TTFN.
