I am posting the following message on behalf of the Miata Club of America, United Kingdom Chapter: You are all invited to an informal gathering and picnic at Billing Aquadrome Northamptonshire, on Sunday, 18th September from 11:00am onwards in the Kingfisher Meadow. To tempt you even further, an added bonus for every MX-5 turning up on the day will be FREE admission into Billing Aquadrome. We are Miata Club members ourselves and feel, as we hope you do, that the MX-5 is the best sports car on the road today. Our aim is simple; to promote ownership and safe driving of the MX-5 through a chapter in Britain and establishing regular gatherings or meetings around the country. We believe the formation of an Associate Chapter in this country is long overdue and are prepared to put every effort into starting one. The success or failure of this initial gathering will, therefore, be taken as an indication as to whether our enthusiasm for the MX-5 is shared by others or we are alone. If you feel you have any further suggestions to make or have any other ideas to contribute, then we would love to hear from you. Our intention is for people to have fun and not to make the mistake of so many clubs with getting tied up in committees or internal politics. We look forward to receiving your reply and hopefully to meeting you on the 18th September. If you know anybody who may be interested in attending this event, please tell them about it NOW. The more, the merrier.
