Miateers,
After vaguely recalling some mention of code flashes in the MCA magazine, 
I went to the current issue and found the article (TIP SHEET item) that 
addressed the diagnosis decoding.  The steps there describe the flashing 
that I was seeing earlier while setting the timing.  I don't know if I 
saw all of the codes flash, but I believe that I did, and that they were 
repeating the three flash code.  Now my question is: What does the 
"G-signal" in the MCA magazine mean?  I hope that it means "good" and 
that everything is fine.
