YES! (or so in my case) what happens is one of the two cables that runs from
the crank to the drive pulls loose from the door and gets caught on one of
the guide wheels on the glass.

YES! what you need to do (basically) is take the door panel off and tie the
cable back on the door frame to keep it out of the way of the glass. i 
relocated one of the other tie-downs for another cable - it worked in a pinch,
but i'd suggest using some good wire or something similar. hopefully it will
be more obvious when you are looking at it :)

um, well, never roll the window up, i guess ;) the cable pulls loose when the
window is rolled up...

actually, once i figured out the problem, it hasn't bothered me since (knock,
knock)
