Here's a second vote for staying away from Splitfires.
I'm one of those folks that have had the plug wire boots
'weld' to the plug. Getting things off after this 
happens is a significant hassle. This wasn't a problem
with the Nippon Densho plugs I had in before the
Splitfires.
