I had this trouble for the first time this weekend. The wires were the light blue NGK replacements, and the plugs were NGK with the grooved center electrode. The boots came off of the wires and were a real pain to remove. Luckily I kept my old set and we were able to salvage the boots from them. They are glued on now. Brian
