When on "outside", it should get it from the cowl vents just in front of the windshield. I would imagine that a little leakage when set on "recirculate" is a good thing, to let SOME fresh air in. I'd say that either way, the are would get heated from the heater assembly and the fact that the underdash area is warm from the engine and tranny tunnel. Turning on the A/C to cool all the ducting will reduce the temperature of the air coming thru the vents after the A/C is turned off. Doug Q. dquara@encore.com
