Right. The general point is that overtightening your lug nuts is bad, both 
for the prospects of getting them back off without major headaches and for 
the wheels themselves (you can deform an alloy wheel more easily than a 
steel wheel).

How about picking yourself up a copy of the shop manual? It's got lots of 
useful information, including this particular bit. I'll admit that most of 
it is presented in a format suitable for a mechanic with 20 years experience 
or more. :)
