Hey all... I just wanted to get my .02 in...

I padded my roll bar with *real* roll bar padding. I bought it a speed 
shop in Waltham (where else???). While my only color choices were black, 
black or black... it was $12 per 3ft section. It's flame retardant and 
very firm. It has yet to protect teeth or skulls but has prevented 
bruised knees (forward brace is in passenger footwell). I don't think 
pipe insulation is a good idea... but then how much money WERE you hoping 
to save???
