Doug, I suspect that the the factory may have accidently mixed up one of the wires that would normally go to your courtesy (under dash) light with the wire that should go to your cigarette lighter. With the keys out of the ignition, open your door and see if the under the dash light (driver's side) works properly. If not, that is the problem. You will need to figure out which wire it is and switch 'em back. Mark
