Jeanie-
	I've had a similar problem in wet weather. Try to avoid setting the 
handbrake in wet weather (including snow) with warm brakes. I had the pads
"rust" to the rotors several times - even left nice little outlines of the
pad on the rotor. I don't know if there is a cure, but I have been able to
avoid the problem recurring by waiting until the brakes cool before setting the
brake or by not setting the brake as firmly.
